The Hong Kong Generations of Cinema showcase, presented by the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival, is a two-day celebration exploring the intersection of Cantopop and Hong Kong cinema.
The program highlights influential films and performers that demonstrate how this unique musical genre has shaped Hong Kong's cinematic storytelling and cultural legacy.
We created the poster artwork to celebrate Cantopop legends Anita Mui and Leslie Cheung through iconic scenes from their films, rendered in the vibrant colors characteristic of 1980s Hong Kong cinema. This visual tribute honors their enduring influence and lasting contributions to Hong Kong's cultural identity through both music and film.
